Read This if you want to test your Android Applications BUT do not have a high configuration PC to test it on in-built Android Emulators

If your PC with low config(2GB to 4GB RAM) is incapable of running in-built android emulator, then there's a way out .
Follow these 15 easy steps specified below to configure Real Android Device with your Android Studio and test your Apps using debugger :-

Step 1:- Go to Settings>About Phone>Click the Build Number 7 times>This will enable the “Developer Option”. This will make the developer option available in Settings.

Step 2:- Now go in the “Developer Option” and enable the “USB debugging” mode

Step 3:- Now when you will connect your Mobile via USB to Computer, the connection dialog will, by default, set the connection mode as “Media Device(MTP)” which is file transfer mode. Change it to “Camera(PTP)” to switch to developer mode.

Step 4:- Launch Standalone SDK Manager from Android Studio’s
Tools>Android>SDK Manager>Launch Standalone SDK Manager>Find out “Extras” folder in the Window that opens up>Install the “Google USB Driver”.

Step 5:- Now open your computer’s  Control Panel
Select  “Hardware and Sound” >”Device Manager”>Right-Click your device name under the option “Other Devices”>Select “Update Driver Software”>Now in the window that opens up, select the second option that says “Browse my Computer for driver software”

Step 6:- Now Browse for the Google USB Driver as follows:-
Go to the location of your “Android SDK” folder on your computer and click it to see its contents>Now click the Extras folder present within Android SDK folder>Click “google” folder>Click “usb_driver” folder>And finally click “OK” button

Step 7:- Also select “Include Sub-folders” option in the window from where you started browsing for Google USB Driver>And finally click “Next”.

Step 8:- If the message appears – “Windows was unable to install your device_name”, then proceed after this step else you can stop.

Step 9:- Open your web browser and type on google – “android oem usb drivers”.

Step 10:- Now click the first link that appears saying – “Install OEM USB Drivers | Android Developers”. Surf down the page that opens till the time you find a 2-column table containing Device Name and its respective Compatible USB driver link.

Step 11:- Click the Mobile’s respective driver link and download the EXE file. Now install the USB driver Manager software.

Step 12:- After installing the driver Software, again open Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Device Manager.

Step 13:- Now you will see your device name as a separate option instead of it being listed under “Other Devices”. Expand the Option(Device name) by clicking it. You will see your respective device’s  android ADB Interface. If all that is present as mentioned, it means that your USB driver has properly configured with ADB(Android Debug Bridge).

Step 14:- Now start Android Studio and go to –
Tools>Android>Android Device Monitor> You can see your device name written there.

Step 15:- Now when you will click Run, it will show you your device along with its status i.e. whether it’s online or offline.
